Challenge
With a website that was tough to navigate, Association Workers’ Compensation Boards of Canada (AWCBC) needed a new way to meet all accessibility requirements and a marked improvement to its member experience. Naryant chose Motum B2B to partner with them on this project because of our expertise to plan, program, and deliver the right solution.
Solution
To help AWCBC through this large project, we broke the process down into digestible phases. It started with a strategic web plan — to identify technical requirements, user journeys, and a content outline — before moving onto wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and finally the site build. This approach allowed us the time to collaborate with all stakeholders and focus on key parts of the project.
The AWCBC site was already well established, containing vast amounts of content and strong backlinking. Prioritizing an audit and inventorying all site assets ensured the new site structure was thoroughly evaluated, risks were identified, and critical items were known prior to the build.
Security and speed, as well as the ability to self-manage the content, were other priorities. Working in partnership with Naryant, hundreds of users and all accompanying data was moved thoroughly and securely. Thanks to our intricate knowledge of Craft CMS, we knew the platform would be a better fit for AWCBC than WordPress, which was holding the business back.
The highest priority area was the site’s members-only section, which needed a solution to address the frequency of similar requests for data. The new design, structure, and functionality means members can now seamlessly request data within the AWCBC site. A newly minted Knowledge Center acts as a central hub for resources, providing visitors with a more intuitive place to find the information they need in less clicks.
Launched in the fall of 2024, AWCBC now has a fully compliant, secure, and intuitive website powered by Craft CMS. Motum B2B keeps the site running securely and smoothly through ongoing maintenance and support, allowing AWCBC to focus on their business knowing it has a stable site and their team are in the driver’s seat.
